How To Student, LLC (“How To Student,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an education technology company dedicated to helping high school students prepare for the ACT exam through AI-powered diagnostics, adaptive learning, and personalized tutoring. Our mission is to make high-quality test preparation accessible, efficient, and engaging for every student.
2. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using our website, mobile app, or related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the Platform. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for maintaining your login credentials and ensuring that your account is used only by you.
4. Our Services
How To Student offers adaptive ACT practice tests, AI-generated feedback, score tracking, performance analytics, and voice-based tutoring. The Platform is continuously updated with new content, question types, and features to reflect official ACT standards.
While we strive for accuracy and educational value, we cannot guarantee any specific improvement in test scores or outcomes.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Certain premium features (such as unlimited tutoring) may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed securely via third-party providers such as Stripe. Refunds are issued only where required by applicable law.
6. Acceptable Use
- Use the Platform only for lawful, educational purposes.
- Do not share, copy, or redistribute Platform content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer or misuse our software, APIs, or AI models.
- Do not use the Platform to cheat, impersonate others, or disrupt services.
7. Intellectual Property
All Platform content—including AI-generated materials, questions, diagrams, code, graphics, and branding—is owned by How To Student. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Platform for your own personal, educational use.
8. AI & Educational Use Disclaimer
We use artificial intelligence to generate explanations and practice questions. While our systems are tested extensively, AI outputs may occasionally include errors or inaccuracies. Use your discretion and verify information as needed.
9. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining transparency in how we collect, store, and use your data.
Information We Collect
- Account Data: Email and login credentials (passwords are hashed).
- Learning Data: Practice results, time per test, category performance, progress scores.
- Voice Data: Audio interactions used to power the voice tutor (processed in real time; not permanently stored).

How To Student complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar global regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
Your Rights

How To Student provides its services “as is” and “as available.” We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Platform use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you (if any).
